1) Goto the folder where Origin installed BF3 (C:Program Files (x86)Battlefield 3 Battlefield 3™) (thats where mine was installed)
2) Rename the Battlefield 3™ folder to Battlefield 3 - (removing ™)
3)Start regedit , browse to the following key :
HKEY LOCAL MACHINESOFTWAREWoW6432NodeEA Games
Change the GDFBinary & InstallDir paths to C:Program Files (x86)Battlefield 3 Battlefield 3 - again removing ™
and it will launch fine
Note: when you rename the folder and edit the registry You have to make sure Origin is not running.

Checked and my Origin installation is different; it has bf3 instead of Battlefield 3.

mine didn't even have the trademark. i had mine installed into an origin folder.

my BF3 is installed in Electronic Arts/Battlefield 3
regedit only showed trademarks on display name. i changed that to no avail

I have a big problem with video. The game starts perfect and after about 3 min q freezes and I have to restart the game. Install the latest ATi Catalyse dirver, which reported a solution to bring the crossfire, (since I have 2 video cards series 5900).
Seguin trying to play it until I could play for 1 hour followed, but the same problem happened again.
During the BETA I was the same.
Please, I need suggestions and help.

Here's another fix: Go to Battlefield 3 folder and delete everything except the data folder and _installer.
In Origin right click on Battlefield 3 and choose repair install. When I did this the repair install scanned my game and took about 2 min to download stuff. Then after it was done it launched an update to BF3 that took 7 min to download. After this everything worked.

The message I get says that I have an error in my setup and i need to re-install, I've re-installed twice already, same issue, On with live chat now and man are these guys just plain uneducated, the first lady told me to wait for the official release time 3 hours after everybody else was already filling servers, this guy im on with now asked me for a dxdiag , supplied it, now he hasn't responded for like 40 minutes. Im calling em on the phone in the morning but this is quite the mess
Vantage you might be on to something about that update, im gonna give that a try, because from what i heard there was suppose to be a first day patch and i havent gotten any sort of update notification yet
